Video of Asbel Kiprop caressing woman inside a car elicits reactions

Celebrated Kenyan athlete Asbel Kiprop has once again hit headlines for the wrong reasons after a video of him fondling an unidentified woman did rounds on social media.

In the video recorded in a car, the athlete is seen moving his waist in a seductive manner as the woman joins in.

The two seem to be having a good time as they throw glances at one another and within no time the athlete pulls the woman close to him and they share a passionate kiss.

Netizens were outraged after seeing the video and some recommended counseling, saying Kiprop was undergoing some problems.

He was urged not to destroy his legacy and sports fans urged him to issue an apology before things get out of hand.

Here are some of the reactions:

Ole Malit Moses: My brother I sincerely sympathise with what you are going through but remember not to destroy your very rich history.

Nebuchadnezzar Nebukadinasor: Gracious Lord, be with Asbel Kiprop. Strengthen him. Make him overcome the embarrassment caused by an indecent human being who posted the inappropriate pictures to the world. Lord, forgive him. Forgive her. Strengthen the children. We are mortal human beings. We shall not judge. Whoever posted the pictures, send him Or her to Eternal Damnation. Let his/her soul not rest in peace. Amen.

Nyiganet Moses Kebenei: I choose to mind my business. Please, someone, reach out to Asbel Kiprop.

Gael Sorgor: At this moment God alone knows what is happening. I do pray for you and your family. May God give you guys strength through this hard time and may your family and friends understand and support you.

On Saturday, the athlete had taken to his social media to hit out at his ‘enemies’ saying: “Those who saw it wise to bring me down by lying had no good plans for neither the sport nor humanity.

"I might sound less because I know how to be humble but I'm real. I will not revenge even if I'm told who my enemy is. I will consider the fact that he wants to earn a living by framing me.

He added: "I will not feed them with dust But I believe in God who will forgive my oppressors.

"I know what I'm capable of & I know my enemies by names. Forgiving them at the cost of my career my kids education policy & parents bread & health insurance cover is what will be counted & acknowledge by God & nurture.

"Not forgetting the society & athletes I nurtured & those I inspired."
