Nakuru slay Kiambu in football as Nairobi roar in volleyball

Nakuru Water and Sewerage Services company (Nawasco) have qualified for the finals of the Water Services Companies’ Sports organisation (Wasco) games in Nyeri.

Nawasco thrashed Kiambu water 4-1, in a one sided match Dedan Kimathi university of Technology yesterday.

Eliud Rotich scored twice for Nawasco with Bernard Kiberenge and Elias Makori scoring a goal each while Kiambu got their consolation goal through Felix Ayuya.

Nawasco coach James Omondi said: “My boys are improving game by game, from here moving forward all we need and are going to work for is win against Nairobi water who are equally a strong team. At the worst scenario all we can settle for is a draw.”

In their opener on Tuesday, Nawasco beat Eldoret Water Services 1-0.

In the second match of the day, Nairobi Cty Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) outclassed Kiambu Water 5-0.

Nairobi Water’s Fredrick Ochola scored a hat trick with Moses Shisia and Michael Ochieng’s penalty completing the rout.

In ladies’ volleyball, Nairobi Water beat Eldoret Water 3-0 (25-4, 25-4, 25-6), as Nyewasco beat Nyahururu water 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-20), Nyahururu edged out Nanyuki water 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 26-24).

In the men volleyball, Nairobi Water prevailed upon Nyewasco 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-24), Eldowas beat Nyahururu water 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17), Thika fell Kirinyaga 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-15).

Nyewasco beat Machakos 3-0 (25-8, 25-8, 25-8) as Bomet won against Kiambu water 3-1 (25-21, 25-11, 15-25, 25-20).

In Badminton, Nawasco had the better of Mathira Water 5-0, Nakuru Rural water outclassing Kirinyaga Water 4-1.

Nairobi beat Thika Water 5-0 and Nyewasco thumped Embu water 5-0.

Table Tennis ladies, Nairobi water Services won in their match against Nyahururu Water 2-0 while Nyewasco edged Eldowas 2-1.
