Jubilee leaders pocket agents' money before going underground

Two Jubilee officials from one of the Coastal counties are reportedly in hiding after they, allegedly, pocketed mobilization funds that were meant to pay party agents in the repeat presidential polls.

The two reportedly received cash from Nairobi but have since gone underground.

One of the individuals whom Grapevine contacted over the missing funds dismissed the allegations. The man explained he only dealt with the party's MCA candidates in the last polls and did not know where the story on missing funds originated from.

Grapevine witnessed a near scuffle in one of the constituencies where the funds were missing after irate party members who had been earmarked to work as agents threatened a boycott until they were paid. It took the intervention of a losing candidate for the area parliamentary seat to calm down the angry members. He pledged to ensure that they were paid.
