Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly interested in snapping up Marseille's 19-year-old left-back Christopher Rocchia.
Various reports in France claim the Gunners are - through French scout Gilles Grimandi - keeping tabs on the teenage defender and may launch a January bid.
Rocchia was part of the Marseille side that reached the final of the Coupe Gambardella - the equivalent of the FA Youth Cup - this summer, but he's in the last year of his current contract.
Sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is trying to tie the youngster down to a three-year professional deal, but negotiations have dragged on since the summer, according to talksport.
And, while talks continue to stall, Arsenal and other top European clubs will be keeping a close eye on his situation heading into the winter transfer window.
