Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala and Mombasa politician Suleiman Shahbal have struck a deal, ending factional wars that had threatened to derail Jubilee's campaigns in Mombasa.

The two leaders on Tuesday resolved to end supremacy wars that have rocked the Jubilee Party since the August 8 polls and fashion a common strategy to deliver votes for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat presidential election.

On Friday, the factional wars played out during a campaign rally by Deputy President William Ruto in Mombasa when some Jubilee supporters heckled Mr Shahbal, accusing him of mishandling Uhuru's campaign.
