Ex-MP and former governor clash in Uhuru campaign team nomination

A party MP who lost his parliamentary seat muck raked at a Sagana River State Lodge meeting called by President Uhuru Kenyatta and eventually shot down the inclusion of a former governor into the two-man presidential campaign coordination team representing candidates who lost in the last elections.

The former MP who ironically comes from the same constituency with his ex-governor is said to have raised a furore when the election for the representatives was called on instructions of the president. "How do you include a known mole in a committee to campaign for Uhuru? How do we know he is not a spy? We must elect other people and not him," the Jubilee hawk is said to have bellowed during the election after the delegates were sent into county groups to elect their representatives.

Eventually, the former governor rose in disgust to declare he was not interested in "rubbish posts" paving the way for the Jubilee hawk and a former female MP to get their counties
