Police have grilled two aspirants eyeing the Masogo/Nyang'oma ward seat over political violence. County Police Commandant Titus Yoma Sunday said the incumbent MCA, Samuel Ong'ou, and his competitor Habil Nyasuna, had been questioned in connection with the violence that rocked Chemelil, Muhoroni constituency, on Saturday evening.

"The incident was unfortunate and we have taken appropriate action, including summoning the leaders mentioned," said Mr Yoma.

More than 10 people were injured in the incident, with one in critical condition and admitted in Ahero County Hospital.
