Linah Jebii battles for Marakwet East Jubilee ticket

The race for the Marakwet East MP slot is getting hotter with Hon.Linah Jebii Kilimo putting up a fight against the odds of a formidable team of male aspirants.

In what is promising to be a royal battle, the Kibaki administration Assistant Minister has hit the ground with gusto to challenge incumbent Hon. Kagugo Bowen and new entrant Mwalimu Edwin Kisang formerly of Marakwet High School.

It will definitely be a three-horse race between the three formidable aspirants. The issue of insecurity will play an important role in determining the winner.

You will recall that it took the intervention of Deputy President Ruto to restore calm in the volatile region.

Clan loyalty will influence the outcome. Whoever will eat into the populous Endo vote will have a field day.

The Endo people have held the seat from Independence. The Sambirir and Mokoro people may however make things difficult as they have fielded one of their own, Edwin Kisang.
