A night out with the boys is just what the doctor ordered

Researchers in Germany have found there are immense health benefits when men hang out with fellow males for drinks.

The Telegraph writes “male bonding is more likely to lower a man’s stress levels than a night out with his partner, or time spent with the family.”

The scientists used apes that have human-like social behaviour to reach their conclusions.

This is a confirmation that men’s instincts are right when they seek the fellowship of men, but which a majority of the womenfolk suspect, usually erroneously, that it is cover for some sinister social activity.

But since scientists are notorious for contradicting themselves every so often, it would be interesting to monitor if these findings are developed any further in the coming years.

Kenyan researchers, for instance, could focus on what becomes of all the talk about the purchase of land and other assets, which most men claim to be their main motivation for venturing to the pub, draining the small fortunes that should cumulatively contribute towards the desired assets. I shall not mention other subjects of desire that men are likely to harbour at the pub, for the simple reason that German scientists made no reference to anything else other than male company.

Oh, or even the drink, which I presume the apes were sipping.
