Woman arrested after selling baby for Sh7000

Nyeri, Kenya: Police in Mukurwe-ini Sub County are investigating two women from Kiuu village over allegations that one of them had sold her new born baby to a neighbor for Sh7000.

Virginia Wairimu Mwangi, a mother of four allegedly said that she was unable to care for her children and had entered an agreement with her friend to assist her care for the child.
