Missing man found dumped in River Molo

Nakuru, Kenya: The body of a 27-year-old man who was allegedly killed by his friend last week in Nakuru’s Rongai area was found dumped in River Molo at the weekend.

Rongai police boss Joseph Mwamburi said police officers have intensified investigations to charge the suspect Isaac Muturi, 20, with murder.

According to police investigations conducted earlier, blood stains were sported at the accused’s house. The deceased’s belongings, including a trouser and a mobile phone were also recovered in the same house.

"Belongings of the deceased were recovered at the suspect’s house that links him to the mysterious killing," observed Mwamburi.

He said the evidence suggested that the suspect might have killed the deceased and later dumped him at the river.

“The suspect, currently in remand, will be charged in court on August 27,” he added.

The incident happens amid increased cases of mysterious killings of people who are later found dumped in River Molo and its environs.

July, the body of a 50-year-old man who was brutally killed was found dumped in the river after he was reported missing.

On June 29, a decomposing body of a 14-year-old student in full school uniforms was also found floating after she had been reported missing.
