Lamu MP fails to vote at refendum

Lamu West MP Fahim Twaha had not voted by the time polls closed at 5pm yesterday. According to the presiding officer Nicodemus Mwashigadi, Twaha, who is listed to vote at Lamu Fort polling station, did not turn up. "We closed our doors at 5pm. The MP had not shown up to cast his vote," he said. Aisha Ahmed, the deputy presiding officer said she registered Twaha during the registration period.
