A team picked to steer the National Super Alliance (NASA) campaigns in Western region has embarked on a vote-hunting mission.
Mr Khalid Njiraini, the regional co-ordinator in charge of Vihiga, Kakamega and Busia counties, said his team anticipates smooth campaigns after switching campaign gears in a bid to secure maximum votes.
"We have reviewed our strategies and our focus goes beyond the house-to-house voter sensitisation drive since the nullification of August 8 poll has given our presidential candidate Raila Odinga an edge over our competitors particularly in Western," said Njiraini.
He said the team was optimistic it will deliver to NASA the more than 1.4 million votes in the three counties.
Kakamega has 746,877 registered voters followed by Bungoma at 559,897. Busia and Vihiga have 347,911 and 286,481 registered voters respectively based on IEBC current register of voters.
Rivalry among NASA affiliate parties worked to the advantage of Jubilee Party, which managed to bag eight parliamentary seats out of 33 in Western region.
