The Transition Authority (TA) has asked the county government to expedite survey of all parcels of public land and secure title deeds and lease agreements for tea plantations belonging to multinational tea companies.

This is among a raft of recommendations contained in TA's County Assets and Liabilities Report where the county has also been advised to develop all idle land and prepare development plans for town and markets as well as secure log books of all county vehicles.

"The county should also develop and maintain inventories of assets and liabilities at the county headquarters and sub-counties as well as conduct valuation and tagging of all assets," the report said.
