I studied business finance at the Nazarene University.
Campus life was fun, and I enjoyed every bit.
The pretty girls in the university only heightened the fun. Occasionally, I would visit the campus cafeteria just to engage these polished beauties in small talk. Well, I couldn’t entirely help it given the girls also loved my company.
Sometimes, I would take a ride on the college bus only to realise that more than three women had booked seats for me. It was up to me to choose the prettiest. Interestingly, I had a secret game plan that none of them realised.
Class work was a lot of fun too. My favourite lecturer was a woman who taught business law. She was beautiful, and we had some silent chemistry, prompting us to silently flirt with our eyes. She never said a word, but I could tell from the good grades she awarded me that she really liked me.
But then there was this other mean lecturer who could not stand me because I constantly absented myself from most of his classes. Interestingly, I always scored the highest in his exams.
I made a little pocket money from the gigs we booked as Sauti Sol, the band we formed in 2008. I also had another side hustle as a pizza maker. Otherwise, I dedicated most of my time to music and I spent most of my time in studios rehearsing and recording songs.
The only disadvantage about Nazarene was the distance from the shopping centre. Once you were left by the bus, you risked being eaten by hyenas while walking. It’s that close to the Nairobi National Park.
