Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Olive Mugenda has asked Nairobi MPs not to politicise the dispute surrounding 130 acres near the university.

Speaking at the university's career week over the weekend, Ms Mugenda told the MPs to stop misleading the squatters currently occupying the land into believing the Government would settle them there.

"I want the MPs to know nothing will stop the university's resolve to build the first public children's hospital. The land belongs to the university and we have a title deed to that effect," said Mugenda.

She called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and Lands Cabinet Secretary Charity Ngilu to have the land reverted to the institution.
