Raila Odinga to grace burial of Narok chaos victim

One of the victims who died during the violent protests in Narok a week ago will be buried Monday.

Sikona Muntet, 29, who was allegedly shot dead by security personnel when thousands of protesters led by a section of local leaders tried in vain to gain entry to county offices to present their petition to Governor Samuel Tunai on Monday last week, will be buried in Esupetai village in Narok West.

Cord leader Raila Odinga is expected to attend the ceremony where leadership wrangles bedevilling the county government are likely to feature.

Triumphant entry

Local leaders expected to attend include MPs Moitalel Kenta (Narok North), Korei Lemein (Narok South), Patrick Ntutu (Narok West), Johana Ngeno (Emurwa Dikir).

Senator Stephen ole Ntutu, who Sunday made a triumphant entry to Narok town after being charged by a Nairobi court, will also attend.

Security is expected to be stepped up to avert riots and ugly scenes of the kind witnessed last week.
