Body of 24-year-old man found floating in River Molo

Molo, Kenya: A body of a 24-year-old man was Monday found floating in River Molo after he was reported missing a week ago.

Rongai OCPD Joseph Mwamburi said the body of the deceased, Ismael Yusuf, was discovered by members of the public who reside along the river.

Mwamburi said the deceased left his home in Mogotio Sub-County on September 9 before he went missing only to be found dead.

According to the OCPD, the parents joined hands with residents and the local administration to search for him in vain.

"The deceased was reported missing but unfortunately, he was found dead under unclear circumstances floating in the river," said Mwamburi.

His body was released to members of his family for burial preparing in accordance to Islamic beliefs while police officers commenced investigations.
