Konza City crisis deepens as landowners stay put

Machakos, Kenya: The crisis surrounding the Konza Techno City project appears that it will not end soon after members of the Konza ranch vowed not to allow part of the earmarked land be annexed to the project.

Led by the society's chairman David Mutangili, the members said the move by the Department of Physical Planning to acquire more than 6,000 acres for the purposes of cemetery, and game park was inconsequential and will not be allowed.
