Green Palm clash with Tononoka in Mombasa boys' final

Newcomers Green Palm Academy of Mombasa County take on former champions Tononoka in the boys final as the Mombasa region TwoTerm "B" come to an end this morning at Kwale High.

Green Palms made it to the final after beating Mwangea of Taita Taveta 2-0 in the semi-final. Sameya Idd and Ravasco Lai scored a goal each.

In semi two, Tononoka squeezed a narrow 1-0 win over Kasidi of Kilifi where Ian Mathenge scored to set up an all Mombasa final affair.

The final match will also be a repeat of Mombasa County final where Palms won 2-1.

Defending champions St John's Kaloleni of Kilifi clash with Waa Girls High of Kwale in girls football final.

The title holders walloped Madogo of Tana River 6-0 with lethal striker Mwanahalima Adams and Rehema Mwacharo scoring a hat-trick each and Nuru Mustafa added the seventh goal.

Waa stopped their perennial rivals Kwale Girls High 5-0. Tania Mariam and Shama James scored a brace each with Stezzy Maiko adding the fifthl.

In boy's volleyball, determined Tumaini Secondary take on Mivumoni in an all Kwale affair final.

Tumaini edged out Mariakani Secondary of Kilifi 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 20-25, 29-27) while Mivumoni whitewashed St Georges of Kilifi 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-16).

In girls volleyball final,  St Johns Kaloleni take on Msambweni of Kwale in the final. The two teams met in the opening match of the games where Msambweni upset the queens 3-2.

In semis, Msambweni beat Tumaini of Kwale 3-0 (25-13, 15-15, 25-18) while St Johns eliminated Shujaa Mekatilili of Kilifi 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-21).

At the sametime, Kilifi Mixed girls football teams has been banned for two years after they allegedly forged documents of three of their players namely Bintiali Idd, Shukurani Sidi and Purity Karembo.

 Mombasa Region Secondary Schools Sports Association Secretary Twaha Mwatshau confirmed the ban.

The association also directed its Kilifi sub-branch secretary to give a written explanation regarding the said anomalies.
