President Uhuru to appear before IEBC as three candidates get rejected

Following the ongoing clearing of candidates who will be in the polls ahead of the general elections on August 8, the IEBC has cleared six presidential candidates and rejected three.

Among those cleared are Cyrus Jirongo (United Democratic Party), Ekuru Aukot (Thirdway Alliance), Michael Wainaina (Independent), National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga, Mohamed Dida (Alliance for Real Change) and Joe Nyagah (Independent).

Besides, Peter Solomon Gichira (Independent), Erastus Nyamera (Independent) and Justice and Equality Party flagbearer Justus Juma failed after flopping the IEBC test.

Mr. Gichira who flopped the test and later we are told of his attempted suicide. Mr Nyamera failed the IEBC test since he had no running mate, to produce his academic papers, sh. 200,000 cheque and requisite signatures.

The presidential aspirant Mr. Juma failed after it emerged that his proposer was not a member of his party.

President Uhuru is to be presenting his papers later this afternoon.
