Did Avril make the first move on her South African fiancee

“Nikimuona”, is Avril’s new song since she left Ogopa Deejays, the music stable to which she had been signed. Soon after the Ogopa contract came to a halt, Avril delved into other spheres of the showbiz realm, including acting.

Her hiatus saw her take part both in local shows and Swahili Magic series but the lass seems to be back into the music scene.

Asked why she took a break, Avril acknowledged that since becoming an independent artiste, she needed to organize herself and learn the market before coming up with new music.

Seeing as she finally did, Avril’s recent hit “Nikimuona” narrates about how ladies feel when they spot a guy they like. In the song she explains that even after meeting a guy for two weeks she would still date him if he was worth it and that she wouldn’t care about what the world would say about it.

Asked whether she would ever hit on a guy, Avril was quick to mention that she is quite ‘traditional’ when it comes to relationship issues. Even in her current relationship, it was her South African fiancé who made the first move.

Talking about the video concept, Avril mentioned that her outfits were made by Achie Otigo, and that her make-up was by a close friend of hers.

The video was shot and produced by Calvo Mistari, one of Kenya’s rapper who said:

“I don’t usually shoot videos, but I realized that Avril had a great product and she is fun to work with, so I picked her project.”

After releasing the song’s audio a few weeks ago, Avril’s “Nikimuona” official video was released yesterday, and her fans will be glad to know that she is back into music.
