Jubilee suspends primaries due to anomalies and logistical challenges

Jubilee Regional Elections Coordinator John Melita suspends the voting in Narok, Kisii and Kericho County despite Jubilee Party Secretariat Raphael Tuju's directive not to postpone the exercise.

Voting in these counties will therefore be conducted at a later date.

Residents had decried lack of preparedness ahead of the primaries citing irregularities and plans to rig in the elections by some of the party's aspirants who foresaw defeat.

The aspirants held consultations with Jubilee Officials after which they called off party’s primaries due to anomalies and logistical challenges faced before the start of the exercise.
