Mobile service provider Safaricom has rolled out a new business solution that will see Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) gauge stability of their businesses. The solution dubbed, 'Ready Business,' bundles together various technology and advisory services to empower entrepreneurs tackle challenges of a rapidly changing business landscape. "Over the last four years, Safaricom Business has built a solid foundation as a solutions provider for the enterprise market which has given us deep insight into their IT requirements," said Rita Okuthe, director, Safaricom Business.

Through the platform, SMEs can gauge their business stability based on up to 18 parameters. This will range from items such as nature of their business, locations it operates from and the expenditure on it. It will also seek how firms recruit and keep clients as well as whether or not they are able to track what their employees are doing at any given time.

According to Ms Okuthe, this will improve firms' efficiency and customer service. "We discovered that small businesses rarely have access to the same kind of expertise. The platform seeks to empower SMEs to become more competitive, more efficient and help them to deliver better experiences for their customers through the intelligent use of technology," she said.
