Leaders hit out at CORD during Joshua Sang's thanksgiving event

Jubilee leaders Sunday joined hundreds of Christians at a prayer and thanksgiving ceremony for radio journalist Joshua Sang.

Mr Sang together with Deputy President William Ruto had their charges on crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court dropped for lack of enough evidence.

The event at Seum AIC Church in Trans Nzoia County was attended by three governors, two senators and three MPs.

Politics took centre stage as the leaders hit out at the Opposition for discrediting independent institutions. CORD wants the electoral agency, IEBC, disbanded.

They said the suspicion created by the Opposition may be a recipe for chaos in the next General Election because voters may not believe the outcome of the polls. "It is of serious concern for CORD to disparage independent institutions," said Nandi Senator Stephen Sang.
