Let's save country from corrupt individuals

Corruption is the worst form of injustice known to mankind. Graft makes one to lose his sense of humanity as the perpetrator is consumed by the overflowing appetite to accumulate wealth unjustly.

Kenya is saddled with corruption of monumental scale. Both high and lowly in the society seem to embrace the vice. Indeed, many people argue that corruption is the fastest growing industry in the country.

Why should immoral practice such as graft sweep across the length and width of our beloved country? It points to one thing, decayed value system.

In the recent times, corrupt crusaders have become emboldened. They no longer steal small sums of money. Each passing day, the country is stunned by colossal sums of money running into billions of shillings embezzled from the State coffers. Those involved in the evil act are defended by their tribesmen and colleagues.

As the President takes decisive measures to rid the country of graft, every Kenyan should join in the fight. We need committed and determined stewardship to inspire us to win this war. But the collective resolve by all is the surest way to tame corruption.

Other nations have done it, we can also achieve the same. Let’s save our country from the army of corrupt individuals.
