Arsenal to beat Man United in SHOCK move for Dortmund midfielder Gundogan

Arsenal are set to battle with Manchester United to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan this summer, according to German publication Bild.

Gunners boss Wenger is a longtime admirer of the German international and has come close to signing him TWICE in the past.

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are also mentioned as being suitors now, with it being inferred that if he is to leave Dortmund it will be for an overseas club.

The news will be a blow to Louis van Gaal, who has made Dortmund midfielder star one of his key transfer targets this summer.

Dortmund want Gundogan - who has just 12 months left on his current deal - to commit himself to a new contract or they are prepared to sell him in the summer. But it is believed agents are sounding out potential clubs in January and Arsenal are now watching developments closely.
