Man cooks meat by firing deadly M16 assault rifle

US: An American gunman cooked a strip of bacon by wrapping it round his assault rifle and firing off 90 rounds.

Texan Dustin Ellermann, a competitive shooter who was the winner of Top Shot on the History Channel, uploaded the clip to YouTube to demonstrate how the heat of an M16 weapon can be used to cook meat.

Ellermann calls the contraption his 'gun grill'.

He clearly loves it, as he can be heard whispering "so much America right now" as he winds the bacon around the end of the gun.

It's then wrapped in tinfoil before the gun is rapidly fired.

Before long the bacon is sizzling away on the end of the weapon and he says there's "nothing wrong with that".

Ellermann is then shown eating the bacon, which has clearly been nicely cooked by the assault rifle.

He says: "Yeah! Let's go kill some more pigs!"

The unorthodox culinary method has proved a massive hit, with the video drawing almost 400,000 views since it was uploaded earlier this month.
