Teenage boy desperate for love stabbed to death after being lured to apartment by girl on Facebook

New York, USA: A teenager beaten, robbed and stabbed to death may have been lured to the scene of his murder by a girl on Facebook.

Police said Ricardo Romero, 16, was contacted by a 17-year-old girl on the social networking site at around 7pm on Friday night.

Officers suspect he was then lured by the girl to an apartment building in Creston Avenue, in the Fordham Heights area of the Bronx, New York, US.

On arrival at the address, Ricardo was set upon by a gang of young men.

He was hit on the head with a bottle, stabbed in the left side of his chest and robbed of his wallet and mobile, reports New York Daily News.

Ricardo, who may have been stabbed up to three times, managed to stumble a few yards before collapsing in the street, where a passer-by administered CPR.

The boy was taken to St, Barnabus Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said the fatal assault was captured by security cameras.

Christian Juarez, 19, was arrested on charges including second-degree murder and robbery.

Twenty seven-year-old Christopher Garcia was arrested on a charge of conspiracy.

The 17-year-old girl is being questioned by police but no charges have been filed.

During interviews with detectives, Juarez admitted robbing the teen, but blamed the violence on an unapprehended accomplice named Skip, reports the Daily News.

Ricardo moved with his family to the Bronx from Mexico nine years ago.

Speaking to PIX11, his sister, Alma Romero, said: “He was a nice person.

“Young kid but never drink or do drugs, nothing like that.”
