Former Miss Russia sues graphic designers for using her picture to advertise graves

Moscow: A former Miss Russia is suing a Moscow graphic design company for using her face to promote tombstones emblazoned with photographs.

Horrified Irina Antonenko, 23, found dozens of photos of herself in a catalogue showing different types of headstones and memorial plaques.

But it was the date of death emblazoned over the headstones that really sent chills down the 2010 title winner's spine.

The former Miss Universe contestant found out about the catalogue when a fan saw the snaps and posted them online.

Irina said: "I was then sent the pictures on my phone and it was like something from a horror film. Picture after picture showing me dead and buried.

"I'm always happy to do more photo modelling but not like this."

Lawyers working for the former beauty queen have contacted the funeral parlour, that said the images and artwork had been provided by a local graphic design firm.
