Machakos, Kenya: Some leaders from Machakos County Wednesday supported Governor Alfred Mutua’s call about CORD planned rallies. Led by the Machakos County Narc chairman Davis Musau, the leaders said the governor’s advise was wise since the country does not need mass action but service delivery.
Last week, the governor urged Ukambani leaders to desist from the planned CORD rallies since they were not the best way to solve disputes. The governor had instead urged leaders to embrace dialogue to air their views instead of resorting to mass actions, which will only divide Kanyans more. Mr Musau pleaded with people of Ukambani to keep off the planned rallies. “The rallies are not only provocative but also aimed at causing political animosity in the country,” he said.
