Crime watch: Aden Duale’s bodyguard shot and wounded in Eastleigh

The National Assembly Majority Leader‘s bodyguard was shot and wounded in his attempt to counter the gang which had attacked a shop

July 18: A bodyguard of the National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale was shot and wounded by thugs in Eastleigh.  The three assailants entered a shop the bodyguard was in and ordered everyone in the store to do as they were told. In his attempt counter the attackers, his gun malfunctioned and the magazine fell off. One of the robbers shot him in the leg as they took off.

In other news, Nicholas Gichui, a licensed firearm holder was arrested for beating his girlfriend and threatening to shoot guards at the estate where the woman lives. Police arrived just in time and restrained the man who was reportedly drunk at the time.
