An Olympic athlete recently walked out on hungry journalists at a popular restaurant in Eldoret. The journalists had called the athlete for a chat and all was well until one of the scribes known for his begging antics asked the elite runner for a small favour.
The athlete simply walked out as if he was going to answer a phone call and never returned. The journos tried in vain to sweet talk the facility’s staff that their ‘friend’ would return but the waiters would hear none of their pleas.
