Inside Bobbi Kristina Brown's final send-off: Deep family rifts and shocking claims

News
Sad tale of mother and daughter

Tragic Bobbi Kristina Brown's funeral was expected to be a "celebration", but her final send-off has been overshadowed by deep family rifts.

The invitation-only service, which will take place today in Atlanta, was reportedly supposed to be Sweet 16 themed.

A family source told Entertainment Tonight that Whitney's daughter had a Sweet 16 party or a school prom and said her funeral will be a celebration and "the Sweet 16 she never had".

But days before her send-off family rifts became all the more apparent, with Bobbi Kristina'a aunt Leolah Brown speaking out on Facebook with a series of shocking claims, appearing to hit out at Bobbi's other aunt Pat Houston.

TMZ obtained a copy of the funeral invite, with all guests reportedly having to show a government-issued ID at the door, to ensure no-one uninvited enters.

It asks guests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation to The Marion P. Foundation would be gratefully received - a charity run by Bobbi's aunt Pat Houston, which helps troubled teens.

Leolah has since gone on another Facebook rant, begging people not to send "ONE RED CENT" to Pat, and claiming she is "not the sweet quiet person that she's tried so hard to make people believe she was."

Leolah even claims Whitney Houston would agree, before launching into shock claims about the singer's sister, even questioning how both Whitney and Bobbi really died.

Leolah goes on: "The truth is being exposed by a BROWN! And she would have never thought in a million years it would come like this. She is actually in shock right now:) because a Brown is usually silent."

Not only that, Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick was also allegedly threatening to boycott the funeral because she didn't like the Sweet 16 idea.

A source said: "Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral because Pat Houston is taking over even though she should be making decisions with Bobby [Brown, Bobbi's father] and not doing it on her own."

While on Friday Bobby Brown and Cissy Houston gathered at the 22-year-old's wake to say their heartbreaking goodbyes - but noticeably didn't attend at the same time.

The Houston family, led by Whitney's mother Cissy, were first to pay their respects while the Browns waited until they had driven away.
