Sensational music group Sauti Sol seems to be setting Africa on fire with their music as they are nominated from one award to the next.

The group’s hot and steamy Nishike video, which was banned from local TV stations, has been nominated for the Most Gifted Video in East Africa. The group is up against Tanzania’s Diamond-Number One, Navio-No Holding Back, Eddy Kenzo-Sitya Loss and our very own Elani-KooKoo.

The controversial Nishike video, was the talk of the town when it was released, capturing most if not all of their female fans who could not stop talking about it. It currently has 769,994 views from its April 29th release date.

Sauti Sol was also nominated for the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) 2014 for Best African Act. In this category, they will be battling it out with Nigeria’s Davido, Diamond, Goldfish and Toofan.

Do you think the renowned music group will win an award for the much criticized Nishike video? Will you be voting for the 'hottest' group in town?
