Kenya: Following the upsurge of insecurity caused by terror attacks and organised criminal gangs, President Uhuru Kenyatta has now sought divine intervention, according to Prophet David Owuor.

On Sunday, the prophet revealed to Kenyans during the last day of a national thanksgiving prayer meeting in Eldoret about a late night lengthy phone discussion with the President.

The televangelist said the President asked him to pray that the youth get actively engaged in nation building and steer clear of groups like Mungiki, radicalisation and terrorism.

“The President called and asked me to pray for Kenya at this meeting; he asked me to pray that the economy they are working on will grow robustly and absorb all the youth,” he said.

Apparently, President Kenyatta also promised to host him at State House to pray for the country after he comes back from a regional meeting he is currently attending.

The President also requested the preacher to seek God’s intervention in weeding out tribalism and corruption.

“That is why I bring it to you that righteousness must thrive in order to clear out evil, corruption, homosexuality, immorality and terrorism in the mighty name of Jesus,” said Owuor.

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi expressed astonishment at the great multitude that turned up for the sake of the gospel, saying such a crowd has never been witnessed before.

“Leaders must be humble before God and be true to their calling,” he urged.
