I will work with Jubilee government, MP declares

Yatta MP Francis Mwangangi has vowed to work with the Jubilee government despite critics who suggest the move is bent to auctioning the electorate.

Addressing secondary school head teachers and other elected leaders from the entire constituency, Mwangangi dismissed those opposed to Jubilee government as misplaced.

''How can you work in isolation when you want development for your people?,'' he asked.

The MP said he would remain in his Muungano Party but will co-operate with President Uhuru Kenyatta's government for the benefit of his people.

He made the remarks at the local CDF offices where he disbursed Sh3.42 million for education bursaries for 985 students both in universities, colleges and secondary schools.

Consequently, the MP who was accompanied by the Yatta DEO Kamau Gicheru, among other top civil servants from the sub-county, promised to work hand in hand with the Machakos county governor.

The MP said those unhappy with the current leadership of both national and county levels will have to wait for so long for their dreams to be achieved.

''Let's recognise, respect and work with those in office for development to be achieved and shun our petty, divisive and selfish politics'' he added.
