President Uhuru Kenyatta's arrival raises athletes' spirits in Moscow

MOSCOW, RUSSIA: President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta arrived in Moscow, Russia, on a day when Kenyan athlete Ezekiel Kemboi won his third 3,000 metres steeplechase world title in a convincing style at the 14th IAAF Championships taking place in Moscow.

On the date of his arrival, Team Kenya bagged her largest medal haul in the championships since they began on Saturday.
Ezekiel Kemboi, the defending champion in the 3,000 metres steeplechase made history as he successfully retained his world crown in the race, joining the elite class of athletes to have secured a world title while holding an Olympics gold.
