House set to get Mutula burial committee report

Nairobi, Kenya: The Senate House Business team is set to receive a report from the late Makueni Senator’s burial committee.

Majority Leader Kindiki Kithure confirmed that the report would be tabled today ahead of the burial slated for Thursday in Mbooni, Makueni County.

At the same time, Prof Kindiki said they would also receive briefing from Mutula’s family burial committee through Kitui Senator David Musila who has been their liaison person.

“The Senate burial committee will present the report to the House Business Committee on how best we will play a role in according our departed colleague a befitting send-off,” he said.

Kindiki said Senator Musila would also bring the committee members up to speed with their latest arrangements for the interment.

“Apart from what is in the public domain that Kilonzo will be laid to rest in Mbooni, we have not received any official communication on the same,” he disclosed.

He said they would deliberate on the matter on Tuesday.
