PHOTOs: Kenyans helplessly watch building under fire in Rongai

On Sunday morning , a building with business stalls for mattresses caught fire in Rongai area next to a Hardware and a building hosting Bank of Africa.

The building is said to have caught fire at around 9:40 am but the Kajiado County fire fighting equipment arrived an hour later when two of the upper stalls had been consumed by the fire.

The owners of the businesses managed to salvage a few items fro m the building's ground floor shops but area residents and passersby could only watch from a distance.

By the time fire fighters arrived at the scene, the fire had been contained, luckily there were no injuries reported.
