Atwoli speaks of President Kenyatta's re-election says Statehouse ignoring him.

Central Organised of Trade Unions (COTU) secretary general Francis Atwoli has said Statehouse has been ignoring him revealing that despite having written letters raising key concerns no replies had been made.

Mr. Atwoli yesterday in an interview on Citizen TV said he wondered how ordinary Kenyans could be treated by the government despite the status he holds in the society as a senior unionist.

"If I can write to the statehouse and nobody is bothered to reply my letters, then what about an ordinary Kenyan," he exclaimed.

He said President Kenyatta had started off his tenure as a good president but his advisors had caused more harm than good on his repute saying the presidency should be set for tough times in the electioneering period.

Mr. Atwoli said if the opposition unity pact services a looming discord, the ruling party Jubilee will be left with two options for the August 8 poll if they will seek to retain power.

He said President Kenyatta remains with the option of ensuring NASA is completely scuttle or plan to rig elections to have a favorable outcome.

"If NASA remains united then whoever they will agree on as the flag bearer will win," he said.

Mr. Atwoli added, "He (President Uhuru ) can scuttle it making sure all the NASA leaders walk away separately but even two of them remaining will still have a formidable opposition."

According to Mr. Atwoli, if Kalonzo leaves NASA there are chances he can leave with the Kamba vote or leave alone as he believes an opposition would remain firm.

He has dismissed claims that he had failed to unite the Luhya community hinting that he had been tasked to give the community a voice and having ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula united was key in ensuring the western region voted as a block.

"I had been given that task which I successfully executed and now we have two leaders (Mudavadi and Wetangula ) who can speak for the region and the people are listening to them," he added.

Atwoli said it will be tough as Jubilee had a tough job ahead in Western, lower and Upper Eastern, Coast and parts of Rift valley warning that Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto should not be undermined.

He said the waring Baringo and West Pokot counties would change the politics in the area and that not all sections of the Rift will vote as in they did in the previous general elections.
