All the political divides are struggling with unity in their political parties in one way or the other. For instant, we have seen Jibillee facing a litmus test on who should be given the ticket to face off Governor Evans Kidero in the forthcoming polls.

According to me, Jubilee’s unity problem is so small and it will be sorted through nomination. The party has already hinted on using IEBC to conduct their nominations so that no one feels disadvantaged.

On the other hand, the newly formed NASA alliance has an uphill task of maintaining their bond as a coalition.

Given that NASA is a political alliance that has united a number of political parties which have not dissolved to form one party it is going to be hard for them to work as a team.

For instant in Mombasa, Mombasa senator Hassan Omar and Nyali MP Awiti Bolo are running against Joho. The three are under NASA.Omar and Awiti are wiper politicians whereas Joho is in ODM.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is supporting the two Wiper aspirants to an extent that he is urging them to unite and oust Joho.

Raila being the party leader of ODM is supporting Joho as he seeks to retain his seat. This could give Jubilee aspirant Suleiman A witi a chance to prevail against them.

Another complicated case is in Garissa whereby Kalonzo has endorsed Farah Maalim whereas Raila is supporting Dola. The two are supposed to battle it out with Aden Duale.

It will be better if NASA fielded a single candidate to run against Duale.By them standing divide they are giving Duale an easy time to be re-elected.

When it comes to Kakamega the same party supremacy is being shown.Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya will have to face senator Boni Khalwale who is determined to become the next Kakamega governor.Oparanya is an ODM candidate whereas Khalwale is a member of Amani coalition.

Going by the announcement made by Hassan Omar that they have agreed as Wiper to field candidates in all positions across the 47 counties has complicated the matter.
