Amuti requested for a posho mill machine to start his business and Sonko granted his wish.

Through a post on Facebook, Sonko further revealed that he had bought him a motorbike to facilitate his movement.

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Friday met up with Nathan Ambuti, a 76-year-old man who cycled almost 230km from Kakamega to Kabarak to attend the late Mzee Daniel Moi’s funeral.

This happened on Friday when Sonko met him and they had a lengthy discussion.

Ambuti requested for a posho mill machine to start his business and Sonko granted his wish.

Through a post on Facebook, Sonko further revealed that he had bought him a motorbike to facilitate his movement.

“Yesterday my family donated a Posho Mill machine to 76-year old Mzee Nathan Ambuti who cycled for 4days all the way from Butere, Kakamega County to Kabarak, Nakuru County to attend the Late H.E Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.

“After a lengthy discussion he requested for a posho mill to start his own business in Butere, as a family we honored his request and bought one which is a diesel powered machine that can Mill with electricity and diesel. We have already fueled his machine and ready to Mill.

“We also bought a motor bike to facilitate his easy movement. Which is full tank, paid insurance, helmet, and all safety gear,” read the post by Sonko.

Elsewhere, the governor also asked Kenyans to continue praying for Jubilee Party Sec-Gen Raphael Tuju who was involved in an accident while heading to Mzee Moi’s funeral, and others who were in the matatu that was hit.

He also stated that a case of one Jane Muthoni had caught his attention as she was unable to clear her hospital bill at Kijabe Hosital.

“I was contacted by a Gospel Musician Liankey who requested for my help after Jane was discharged from Kijabe Hospital but was unable to leave due to payments. Through Sonko Rescue Team we helped cleared the hospital bill.

“We managed to get her discharged but she developed complications and my team transferred her to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where she is undergoing further treatment,” he wrote.
