Kenyans shower Mudavadi with praise after his moving speech on the BBI launch

National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principle Musalia Mudavadi on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, received praise from Kenyans after his speech during the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) launch.

Speaking at the Bomas of Kenya during the BBI launch to the public, the former Vice President deviated from politics and passed the message of unity and matters that involved nation-building.

Mudavadi posed questions which affect the common person, that is, teachers, civil servants, etc.

“Everybody has talked about sharing political seats, what about motivating the civil servants? What about motivating the teacher? What about motivating the private sector? The BBI is not about sharing political positions. It is bigger than that.” Asked Mudavadi.

He further advised every Kenyan to read the document so as to make an independent judgement on the report that is not politically fueled.

This speech attracted praise by Kenyans from different parts of the country who applauded him as one of the political leaders with good intentions.

Some of the comments include;

Sarah Goldheart - If the rest of the leaders had spoken like this, we wouldn't be confused about the BBI like we currently are. They have been speaking about it as a political thing. We need leaders like Mudavadi.

Manasseh Thuranira - The only person who spoke sense. Others are for their own political interest.

Jackson Sibora - I really like the speech of Hon mudavadi.. Wish Kenyan could listen to what he has spoken today..we need all of us to read the document..with sober mind and..be able to listen all the opinion from all parties.

Miriam Koech - I just love the seriousness and courage by Mudavadi. He is the only one who has made sense.

Esther Jackie Agung - Very wise words. I wish our politicians would stop the side shows look into the real content in the BBI report. A clear look at it will give a clear outlook of the kenya we want.

Ronnie Kim - Mudavadi I wish politics will not change your mind and trust me oneday you will be the president of Kenya if that is the mind you will stand with.

The BBI report was handed to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga at Statehouse on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.

It was officially launched to the public at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
