Uhuru’s message to KCPE, KCSE candidates

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday morning sent his best wishes to all KCPE and KCSE candidates as they prepare to sit for their exams.

KCPE is set to officially start today and the head of state reminded candidates that examinations are not an end but a step towards realizing their dreams.

“As I always tell you, remember that examinations are not the end but rather a step towards the dreams and aspirations you all have for your future.

“All teachers, parents, guardians and by large Kenyans, are rooting for you in this phase of your lives,” read the statement in part.

The President further stated that his government had made significant steps to create a positive environment within the education sector for the youth with increased facilities for secondary schools, universities and colleges.

He also assured them of HELB loans which are in place to ensure no one is left behind.

In addition, the Head of State urged candidates not to fall into the temptation of cheating.

“Trust in your hard work and believe that your integrity and honesty will propel you in your next phase as we all help you to nurture your abilities and talents that are a vital part of building our great nation,” said the President.
