JKUAT responds to claims of half baked PhD graduates

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has responded to claims that they lack the capacity to train, evaluate and preside over a graduation ceremony for more than 118 PhD students at once.
In a statement addressed to members of the public from the office of the academic registrar, the institution noted that the 118 students had been in class since 2010 and that they earned the degrees awarded to them two weeks ago.
Commission for University Education (CUE) last week noted that they are following up on the issue to confirm whether the institution followed the legal process in awarding the PhDs.

Regina who is in the 2nd cohort of the programme will be among 32 rising leaders from around the world who have been selected to study at the University of Chicago and Columbia University for the 2019-2020 academic year.
The Program which seeks to support dynamic, collaborative and rising leaders from around the world will see her graduate with a Master of Arts degree on International Development and Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy.
