Spain and Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea is said to have made it clear that he wants to stay at the club following the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Since the Norwegian’s arrival in December, Man United have won six games in a row, propelling them to a strong 6th on the log – tied on points with Arsenal.

According to an article seen on European news outlets by Game Yetu, De Gea has found new confidence after the departure of Jose Mourinho.

However, due to his value in the current market, which is assumed to be very high, Man United will have to come up with appealing contract terms for the Spaniard if they want him to stay.

The club triggered a 12-month extension on De Gea’s contract late last year, which means he should be at Old Trafford until the year 2020.

The 28-year-old was the star of the show on Sunday when the Red Devils endured waves of aggressive attacks at the hands of Tottenham Hotspurs and emerged 1-0 winners.

After the match, De Gea told reporters that he felt like ‘the real’ Man United was back – indicating that he has been impressed with the manner in which Solskjaer is running the team.

“This is the real Manchester United,” said De Gea in a post-match interview at Wembley.
