Sakaja drives man who was dumped for being broke to wedding

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja over the weekend surprised many when he offered to chauffeur William Mwaura and his new partner Marion Kinya on their wedding day.

Mwaura’s story went viral early this year after his girlfriend at the time allegedly dumped him days to their wedding for being broke.

This caught the attention of the Senator in July and during a church service in Roysambu, he promised to give the man Sh50,000.

“Nimesikia story ambayo imenigusa. Kuna yule kijana ambaye alikuwa amekataliwa…. kuja (he says while beckoning the unidentified man)… huyu… huyu ni wetu… huyu in wetu. Kama wamekukataa tumekuchukuwa na tumekukubali.

“Na huyu arusi yake kwanza atabebwa na gari yangu,” Sakaja is captured saying in the clip recorded in July.

True to his word, the Senator honoured his promise on August 27, 2018 as the two exchanged vows at the Jesus Winners Ministry Church in Roysambu.

“Honored to have been the driver to William and Kinya on their wedding today.

“Their story touched us all and has taught us to never look down on anyone because of their current circumstances.

“You never know what God has planned for them tomorrow,” wrote Sakaja on his Facebook page.

Earlier, he had joined Marion’s family at her home, singing and dancing as she was carried shoulder-high into his car.
