VIDEO: Waititu says he wants rivers moved instead of demolishing buildings

Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Ndungu Waititu has given an interesting sentiment in the ongoing Nairobi demolitions.

Delivering a speech in an unknown location ,Governor Waititu said he wants the rivers to be moved instead of demolishing the buildings.

In a report by the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA), dated June 26, the Government has earmarked buildings, structures and even facilities sitting on riparian land which will soon be flattened.

Some of the buildings owned by powerful individuals including Southend Mall and Ukay Mall have already been demolished and the exercise is expected to last for about two months.
