Beckham caught up in terrifying earthquake that left scores dead

David and Victoria Beckham were caught up in the terrifying earthquake that hit Indonesia on Sunday night.

The couple and their four kids were believed to be on holiday in Bali when the 7.0 magnitude quake struck on the neighbouring island of Lombok.

David, 43, Victoria, 44, and children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven, landed on the paradise island on Saturday, according to the Sun.

The family were around 60 miles from the epicentre when the earthquake hit, leaving at least 98 people dead.

The newspaper quoted a source as saying: "They certainly felt the earthquake.

"The children, especially, were a little bit shaken but they are all fine. Their thoughts are obviously with the victims."

A number of celebrities were also caught up in the weekend's terror.

Take That star Gary Barlow posted a message on Twitter assuring fans that he was fine after the earthquake.

"Thank you for your concern - we're all fine - a bit shaken up," he said.

Model and television presenter Chrissy Teigen was also caught up in the earthquake while holidaying with her family.

Teigen, 32, posted a series of brief updates on her Twitter profile as the US Geological Survey announced that a magnitude-seven quake had struck Lombok island, which lies about 25 miles east of Bali.

The Lip Sync Battle host initially wrote: "Oh my god. Bali. Trembling. So long.", before adding "Phewwwwww", indicating that the tremors had stopped.
